About Our Dentist
Dr. Harry L. Habbel brings a unique blend of expertise, education, dental philosophy, and personal inspiration to his Southampton practice. Originally from Williamsport, Pennsylvania, he now enjoys practicing in the Southampton area and spending time with his wife and three children. He is also an avid soccer fan and tennis player and an active member of his church and community. Dr. Habbel chose dentistry as a career because it allows him to exercise his creativity while helping patients maintain both their general and oral health. By focusing on comprehensive patient care with optional cosmetic enhancement, Dr. Habbel demonstrates his commitment to his patients' overall well-being. He also has the education and the expertise to put his ideals into practice.
Education
Dr. Habbel received his B.S. in biochemistry from the University of Pittsburgh in 1977. He then studied dentistry at the Temple University School of Dentistry, receiving his D.D.S. in 1982. After graduation, Dr. Habbel completed a one-year residency and a one-year fellowship in 1983 and 1984 at the renowned Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. His residency training enables him to offer you the convenience of comprehensive periodontic and endodontic care with no need for outside referrals. In 1983, Dr. Habbel went into private practice and has been practicing ever since.
Professional Affiliations and Awards
Dr. Habbel is a member of several recognized dental organizations, including the Pennsylvania Academy of General Dentistry and the Academy of Laser Dentistry. He is a master of the Academy of General Dentistry and an active staff member and lecturer at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. In addition, Dr. Habbel has trained under leading laser dentists and is quickly becoming known for the laser dentistry he offers in the Southampton area.
About the Staff
Dr. Habbel's friendly and experienced staff is dedicated to your comfort and care. Kim has worked as Dr. Habbel's hygienist for 20 years and is a tremendous resource at our practice. Jennifer, Dr. Habbel's main assistant, is also a great asset to the office and an excellent resource for patients who have questions about their dental care.
About the Practice
For your comfort and convenience, Dr. Habbel's practice offers comprehensive care in an intimate setting. We perform most dental procedures right here at our office, including dental implant placement. Our office is spacious and wheelchair accessible, with large, comfortable examination rooms. Our extensive use of the most recent advances in dentistry, including laser technology, digital X-rays, and intraoral cameras, further distinguishes us from other dental practices in the area.
Financing
At Dr. Habbel's practice, we believe that cost shouldn't be an obstacle to dental health. We offer a 10 percent discount to senior citizens and a 5 percent discount to non-seniors, provided payment is not made with a credit a card and is received on the day of service. We accept CareCredit® and Capital One® dental fee plans.
